The Toybox Charity offers:
Street Teams - First aid, friendship and fun on the streets
Day Centre - A safe place for children to come as they leave behind their life on the streets
Hostel - A place to stay as the children prepare to take up a place in a home
Homes - Loving, small, family-style homes. House parents are supported by specialist workers sas the children learn to be children again, grow up as a family and go to school
High risk teams - Working with local authorities and other agencies to bring lasting change to the poorest communities. Providing street schools and parents' workshops to help stem the flow of children onto the street.
Our involvement - In the first instance is to raise funds during 2004 and early 2005 for the work of the Toybox Charity. Our target is £1000. Simple but not the whole story!
Our annual appeal adds valuable dimensions to the life of the Fellowship. It provides an opportunity for the Fellowship in all its forms to unite in support of a common objective with children and adults of all backgrounds able to make a contribution. It gives focus to support for special services and social events.
As a village community it brings a wider view of the world into our small corner. We are presented with the love of God being worked out by others with differing callings to ourselves.
