THE FROG TEAM

In March we announced the arrival of The Frog Team, that's Bethanie, Sara and Kelly.  Since then the team has held its pilot event and although support was limited, the girls proved they have a well thought out programme which they delivered with confidence.  Suffice to say it was a very successful evening.

The Froggies Fabulous Praise Party is the event planned for April by The Frog Team.  It's on Saturday 21st April, between 3 and 6 pm, at the Hilltop Centre, and is for boys and girls 7 to 11 years old.  The programme includes loads of action songs (some will feature in the next days Parade Service), a quiet time, craft work, refreshments and group activities that will feature in the final session.  The girls will have lots of adult support helping out (but trying not to get in the way) and would welcome the help of teenagers with some of the sessions.

The Frog Team - 'Frog' is short for 'Fully Reliant On God' - is the idea of three 10 year old Girls' Brigade members who have put a tremendous amount of their own ideas into the programme.  They have faced the challenge of presenting their ideas to the Fellowship Management Committee to gain approval for the pilot meeting, canvassed adult support, designed the programme and publicity and agreed the name of the team.  This really is an event by children for children!

Please support the Praise Party, not only because it will be a great event but also because these three young ladies deserve all the encouragement we can give them!  It's going to be a great event!

FELLOWSHIP NEWS

Have you ever wondered about 'how to share your faith'?

Perhaps wanting to share your faith is the last thing on your mind at the moment, but may be the opportunity to think about what faith means to you is more where you are.  Well, wherever your thoughts fall, Sunday 13th May will be of interest.  On the 13th we will be visited by the

Rev Ian Field who will be leading activities to help us better understand how to express our faith and in the course of this to develop a clearer understanding of our faith.

Is it time to ask ourselves whether the faith we gained from our parents or from childhood experiences, which has been left undisturbed for many years, now needs to be reconsidered?  In a changing world where faith issues are coming more to the fore, it is becoming more important that we recognise what we believe and why.

Ian's presentation runs from 9.30 to 4.30 pm, with breaks for refreshments and lunch, this will fit around the morning service in which Ian is also taking a part.

Everyone is invited to attend, this is not just for leaders of activities or just those who come to Sunday services - everyone is welcome.

Attending the day is quite a commitment, and attendance all day may not be practical, so talk to David if you want more information or can only come for part of the day.

(If you have already had details, can you please confirm to David your attendance.)

AND FINALLY

Now for something entirely different!  St Leonard's Church at Dordon has arranged an adults only Barn Dance at Dordon Village Hall on Saturday 28th April 7.30 'til 10.30 pm.  Tickets are £5 from Sue or Dave (01827 896722) and include a baked potato with choice of filling.

Just to remind Fellowship members that the next business meeting is on Monday 23 April at 7.30 pm.  Items for the agenda need to be with myself by Thursday 19th April.

I do hope you have a restful and enjoyable Easter break.

 He is risen!  Hallelujah.

David
