The Fellowship Charity in 2008

In 2008 the Fellowship is supporting the work of The Smile Train, a charity that provides financial resources, training and support to local medical centres to enable free surgery to be offered to children with cleft lips and palates.

The Charity works in conjunction with medical practitioners in 67 countries, the surgery offered often taking less that 45 minutes and costing just £150.

Our annual appeal adds valuable dimensions to the life of the Fellowship, as well as providing funds for others to use.  It provides opportunities for the Fellowship activities in all their forms, to support a common objective with children and adults of all backgrounds able to make a contribution.  It gives special focus to particular Sunday services and to social events.

As a village community it brings a wider view of the world into our small corner.  We are presented with the love of God being worked out by others with different callings to ourselves.

And in a small way we respond to Christ's command to care.
