In 2007 we are raising funds for The Smile Train Charity. Smile Train provides financial resources, training and support to medical practitioners around the world enabling them to offer free surgery to children with cleft lips and palates.
To date we have raised funds in the following ways:
Sponsored walk by Girls' Brigade Junior Section.................£351.50
Donations through the Sunday offerings............................... £800.32
Sponsorship for the Great North Run by Karl Hughes.........£925.00
Total £2,076.82
These funds mean that some thirteen children will be able to have the operation they so desperately need.
