24 Aug 2006 - Latest news from Ashit
The Fellowship supports Ashit, a nine year old boy in Bangladesh, through World Vision.
In his annual report Ashit says that his favourite subject is Bangla, he enjoys playing cricket and his hobby is reading. Ashit has to help with the shopping at home and he has participated in sports events at school. His desire is to become a teacher. Ashit's health continues to be good.
Through World Vision Ashit has received help with his education, in particular receiving a bag for his school work, text books and stationery. In addition, he has been given a mosquito net and bed sheet.
Support for Ashit is collected each Sunday through a decorated box in Church. A major portion of the funds given comes from our own children who share their offering between the Fellowship and Ashit. The interest shown by the children helps them to understand the differing circumstances experienced by children as they grow up in other countries.
