17 Feb 2006 - Christmas Day Offering

Our Christmas Day offering of £248.94 was donated to the Mary Ann Evans Hospice which is based at the George Eliot Hospital. Janet Griffin, the Fund Raising Manager, has written to express the thanks of the Hospice, she comments, 'The Hospice is a very special place and our patients receive great strength from the support they get from staff, volunteers and each other. The care we give to our patients at both the Day Hospice and the Hospice at Home also extends beyond our patients to their families and carers. Fundraising is ongoing and care is expensive, hence we are very reliant on the support and goodwill of so many people in the community, such as yourselves.'
